With three national wildlife refuges, as well as many other natural habitats, the Rio Grande Valley is one of the premier birding locations in the U.S. There's the world class Gladys Porter Zoo in Brownsville, the Museum of South Texas History in Edinburg, the Marine Military Academy in Harlingen and more!

The balmy tropical climate is ideal for outdoor activities all year around. Golf, tennis, fishing, hunting, bird watching and hiking, are all yours to enjoy to the fullest here in South Texas. There's plenty of shopping, dining and night clubbing opportunities for all tastes and budgets.
